God

We believe there is one true God, the Supreme Creator eternally existing in three persons- Father, Son and Holy Spirit, each of whom possesses equally all the attributes of deity and the characteristics of personality. (Matthew 28:18-20; II Corinthians 13:4)

God the Father - We believe in the perfect holiness and justice, infinite wisdom, and measureless power of God the Father. We believe that in His sovereignty, He mercifully concerns Himself in the affairs of men; that He hears and answers prayer; and that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus. (I Peter 1:2; John 6:27)

God the Son - We believe that Jesus Christ is God, the living Word, and God the Father's only begotten Son. He was virgin born and sinless in His life. We believe that by His death He made atonement for the sins of the whole world. We believe that He arose from the dead, that He ascended into heaven, that He is now interceding for His people, and that He will personally return to receive His own. (Matthew 3:16, 17; John 1:1, 14)

God the Holy Spirit - We believe in the person and work of the Holy Spirit, who came to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify, and comfort those who believe in Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit also indwells, instructs, empowers them for service, and seals them unto the day of redemption. (John 16:8; Romans 8:9; II Corinthians 3:6; Ephesians 1:13,14)

The Bible

Is God's Word.

Was written without error in the original manuscripts.

In all matters of faith and conduct is the supreme and final authority in all matters in which it speaks.

Was written by men, divinely and fully inspired by the Holy Spirit

God's Design

We believe that when God created humankind in His image, He intentionally created male and female, with each bringing unique qualities to sexuality and relationships. Sexuality is a wonderful gift from God to be expressed in marriage for procreation, union, and mutual enjoyment (Genesis 2:23-25, Hebrews 13:4) or in celibacy as an expression of devotion to God (I Corinthians 7:34-35). We believe that marriage is the union of one man and one woman and is a sacred covenant designed by God to be a lifelong relationship and commitment between a husband and a wife (Matthew 19:4-6). We will teach and up hold God's marriage design but also seek to minister to those who suffer the consequences of its brokenness.

We also affirm and believe and will teach the Scriptures, which state that:

  • Fornication (sexual relations prior to marriage) is sin. (I Corinthians 6:18; I Thessalonians 4:3)
  • Adultery (sexual relations outside of marriage) is sin. (Exodus 20:14, Matthew 5:27)

  • Homosexuality (sexual relations between the same sex) is sin. (Leviticus 18:22, Romans 1:26-27)

  • Involvement in pornography is sin. (Job 31:1,Psalm 101:3, Matthew 5:29)

  • Any other sexual perversion (polygamy, bestiality, transgender, etc.) is sin. (I Corinthians 6:9; Galatians 5:19)

All of these are outside of God's blessing and design for sexual expression. We further believe that sexual sins can be forgiven by God's grace when those involved repent of (turn from and seek deliverance from) these sins. (I Corinthians 6:11) .

We, as a church, will not support anything that:

  • Promotes sexual immorality

  • Promotes the acceptance of homosexuality as a lifestyle approved by God

  • Defines marriage as anything other than God's design for one man (husband) and one woman (wife) for life

Fallen Man's Sin NAture

We believe that man was originally created in the image of God. He sinned by disobeying God; thus, he was alienated from his Creator. That historic fall brought all mankind under divine condemnation. Man's nature is corrupted, and thus he is totally unable to please God. Every man is in need of regeneration and renewal by the Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:26-27; Ephesians 2:1; Romans 5:12-21)

We believe that the salvation of man is wholly a work of God's grace, and is not the work, in whole or in part, of human works of goodness or religious ceremony. God imputes His righteousness to those who put their faith in Christ alone for their salvation, and thereby justifies them in His sight. (John 3:16; Ephesians 2:8-10; Romans 3:21-26)

Salvation

We believe that the salvation of man is wholly a work of God's grace, and is not the work, in whole or in part, of human works of goodness or religious ceremony. God imputes His righteousness to those who put their faith in Christ alone for their salvation, and thereby justifies them in His sight. (John 3:16; Ephesians 2:8-10; Romans 3:21-26)

The Church

We believe that all who place their faith in Jesus Christ are immediately placed by the Holy Spirit into one united spiritual body, the church, the bride of Christ. (I Corinthians 12:12-13)

The Ordinances

Christian baptism by immersion is the solemn and beautiful testimony of a believer showing forth his faith in the crucified, buried, and risen Savior, and his union with Him in death to sin and resurrection to a new life. It is also a sign of fellowship and identification with the visible Body of Christ. (Acts 2:38-42; 8:36,39; Romans 6:1,11)

We believe that the Lord's Supper is the commemoration and proclamation of His death until He comes, and should always be preceded by solemn self-examination. We also believe that whereas the elements of Communion are only representative of the flesh and blood of Christ, the Lord's Supper is nevertheless an actual communion with the risen Christ who is present in a unique way, fellowshipping with His people. (I Corinthians 11:28, 32; 10:16)

GiftsGifts

We believe that the Holy Spirit administers spiritual gifts to every believer for the purpose of serving one another in the body of Christ and reflecting Christ to the world. The Holy Spirit glorifies neither Himself nor his gifts, but He glorifies Christ by implementing His work of redeeming the lost and empowering believers for service. (John 16:13-14; Acts 1:8; I Corinthians 12:4-11; 2 Corinthians 3:18)

Future Events

We believe in the pre-tribulation, pre-millennial rapture of believers and the second coming of Christ at the end of the tribulation to set up His Millennial Kingdom. We believe that at the end of this age, the resurrection and final judgment of all will take place when God will bring every work into judgment. The wicked will be punished with everlasting punishment and the righteous will be blessed with eternal life and rewarded according to their works. (Matthew 24:21; Acts 1:9-11; I Corinthians 15:25, 42-44, 52; I Thessalonians 4:13-18)

Satan

We believe that Satan is real, that he was created by God as a holy angel, but because of pride and rebellion, he fell and was cast out of heaven. He was defeated by Christ's death on the cross and His resurrection from the dead. He now works against the purposes of God and is the ruler of all the powers of darkness and wickedness. He is destined to final defeat and judgment in the eternal lake of fire with his followers. (Isaiah 14:12-15; Ezekiel 28:14-17; Revelation 12:9)
